Natreen is a high-profile European brand of artificial and natural sweeteners. Originally launched by the German pharmaceutical company Bayer in the 1960s, it revolutionized the sugar alternative market with its saccharin and later cyclamate-based products. Over the decades, the brand has expanded its portfolio to include stevia-based options to meet modern health trends.

Today, the brand is owned by the Dutch coffee and tea giant JDE Peet's (Jacobs Douwe Egberts). While the brand has its roots and significant manufacturing presence in Germany, it is distributed across numerous European markets. Ownership transferred from Sara Lee to D.E Master Blenders 1753, which eventually merged to form the current parent organization, JDE Peet's, which is headquartered in Amsterdam and majority-owned by the investment firm JAB Holding Company.
