ABC Saus Tomat is a widely recognized tomato sauce brand from Indonesia, known for its rich flavor and thick texture that caters to local and international palates. The brand was established in 1975 by Chandra Djojonegoro and the Chu family under the company CV Central Foods Industrial Corporation. Initially starting with soy sauce (Kecap ABC), the brand expanded into a variety of condiments including tomato sauce, chili sauce, and syrups, becoming a household staple in Indonesia and a major export to global markets.
In 1999, the global food giant H. J. Heinz Company acquired a majority stake in the brand's parent company, PT ABC Central Food Industry, forming the joint venture PT Heinz ABC Indonesia. Following the 2015 merger of Kraft and Heinz, the brand now sits under the portfolio of The Kraft Heinz Company. Today, ABC is one of the largest business divisions for Kraft Heinz in Asia, operating major production facilities in West Java and Jakarta to supply both the domestic Indonesian market and international consumers.
