Export, commonly known as DB Export, is one of New Zealand’s most iconic beer brands. It was first launched in the late 1960s by DB Breweries, a company founded in 1930 by Sir Henry Kelliher and Morton Coutts. Coutts, a visionary brewer, was instrumental in developing the distinctive profile of Export Lager, which became famous for its clean, crisp taste and its historic association with the New Zealand lifestyle.

Over the decades, the brand has evolved from its original 'Export Beer' identity into a diverse range, including Export Gold, Export 33, and Export Ultra. DB Breweries, the producer of the brand, is headquartered in Auckland and operates major production facilities at the Waitemata Brewery in Otahuhu.

Today, the brand is part of a global brewing network. DB Breweries is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Heineken N.V., the Dutch multinational brewing giant. This ownership structure allows Export to maintain its local heritage while benefiting from the global distribution and marketing expertise of one of the world's largest beverage companies.
