The brand has a deep heritage, dating back to 1817 when Anna-Ollas Anna Joonas first began baking crispbread for her family and neighbors. By 1929, the family established a commercial bakery to share their traditional rye recipe with a wider audience.

To this day, the manufacturing process remains rooted in the original bakery location in Leksand, Dalarna. The product is crafted using Swedish whole-grain rye and water from their own spring, adhering to strictly traditional methods that emphasize sustainability and heritage.
