Bamba is one of Israel's most iconic snack foods, first introduced in 1964 by the Osem company. These peanut butter-flavored corn puffs are a staple of Israeli childhood and are widely recognized for their unique texture and taste. The product is primarily manufactured in Israel, notably at the Osem factory in Kiryat Gat.
While Osem was originally an independent Israeli food manufacturer, it was gradually acquired by the Swiss multinational Nestle. Nestle first purchased a stake in the company in the 1990s and completed a full buyout in 2016. Today, Osem operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nestle, making the brand part of one of the world's largest food and beverage portfolios while maintaining its strong cultural heritage and production base in Israel.
