iÖGO is a prominent Canadian yogurt brand launched in 2012. It was originally created through a partnership between two major Canadian dairy cooperatives, Agropur and Ultima Foods, to compete with global dairy giants. The brand is known for its distinctive 'ö' in its name and its '100% Canadian milk' promise, often featuring a blue cow logo on its packaging to signify local sourcing.
In 2017, Agropur Cooperative acquired full ownership of Ultima Foods, bringing the iÖGO brand entirely under its control. In late 2020, Lactalis Canada, a subsidiary of the French multinational Lactalis Group, entered into an agreement to acquire Agropur’s yogurt business, including the iÖGO brand. Today, while the product is still manufactured in Canadian facilities (notably in Quebec and Alberta) using local Canadian milk, the brand is owned by the Lactalis Group, the world's largest dairy products corporation.
