Pepperidge Farm is an iconic American commercial bakery founded in 1937 by Margaret Rudkin. The brand began in the kitchen of Rudkin's home in Fairfield, Connecticut, where she crafted wholesome, preservative-free bread for her son. In 1961, Margaret Rudkin sold Pepperidge Farm to the Campbell Soup Company, which remains the ultimate owner. Under Campbell's leadership, the brand has maintained its premium positioning while benefitng from a global distribution network and extensive research and development resources. The brand continues to operate as a core part of Campbell's snacks division.
