Nidar Stratos Milk Chocolate Bar

Stratos is one of Norway's most iconic and beloved chocolate brands, famous for its unique aerated texture that creates 'bubbles of joy' (bobler av glede). Launched in 1936, it was originally developed by Nidar, a confectionery company based in Trondheim. The brand is instantly recognizable by its blue packaging and the iconic 'Stratos bull' mascot.

Today, Stratos continues to be manufactured at the historical Nidar factory in Trondheim, Norway. Since 2013, the brand has been part of the Orkla Group's extensive portfolio through their confectionery and snacks division. Orkla ASA is a leading industrial conglomerate headquartered in Oslo, Norway, making Stratos a thoroughly Norwegian brand from its creation through to its current ultimate ownership.
