D'Addario is one of the world's most prominent manufacturers of musical instrument strings. The brand's history traces back to the 17th century in Salle, Italy, where the D'Addario family began crafting strings. However, after the family emigrated to the United States in the early 20th century, the modern D'Addario & Company was formally established in 1974.
Today, the company remains a family-owned business headquartered in Farmingdale, New York. Most of their high-performance strings, including the Pro-Arté series for classical guitars shown here, are manufactured in their own large-scale production facilities in the United States to ensure consistent quality control. They are widely recognized for pioneering many innovations in string technology and packaging.
