CeraVe is a widely recognized skincare brand particularly known for its focus on ceramide-based formulations. It was founded in 2005 by American dermatologists and pharmaceutical experts with the vision of creating affordable, effective skincare that rehabilitates the skin's natural barrier. In 2017, the global beauty giant L'Oréal acquired CeraVe from Valeant Pharmaceuticals (now Bausch Health) to bolster its Active Cosmetics division. Manufacturing primarily takes place in the United States and France to serve global markets, following the strict quality standards of its parent company, L'Oréal.
