Egils Pilsner

Egils Pilsner is a historic light Icelandic lager, produced by the brewery Ölgerðin Egill Skallagrímsson. Established in 1913, the company is one of the oldest and most prominent beverage manufacturers in Iceland, playing a central role in the country's beverage culture.

The product is manufactured in Iceland at the company's facility in Reykjavík. Egils Pilsner is particularly noteworthy for its long-standing presence in the Icelandic market, where it was for many years the primary low-alcohol alternative available during the country's prohibition era on strong beer (which lasted until 1989).

Today, the brand remains under the ultimate ownership of Ölgerðin, a company listed on the Iceland Stock Exchange. While it has grown significantly over the century, it maintains its strong national identity, utilizing pure Icelandic water as a core component of its brewing process.
