Lane, originally known as Plazma in its native market, is one of the most iconic biscuit brands in Southeast Europe. It was first developed in the late 1960s by the company Bambi, located in Požarevac, Serbia (then part of Yugoslavia). The recipe was inspired by Italian biscuit-making techniques but evolved into a unique nutritional product often consumed by children and adults alike, either as a snack or ground into a meal with milk.
Over the decades, the brand became a household name across the Balkans. In 2019, the parent company Bambi was acquired by Coca-Cola HBC, a major strategic bottling partner of The Coca-Cola Company. This acquisition integrated the traditional biscuit brand into a global distribution network, though production remains centered in its historical manufacturing facilities in Serbia to maintain the original taste and quality standards that have defined the brand for over half a century.
