Żywiec Zdrój is a premier Polish brand of bottled water that traces its origins to the town of Cięcina, nestled in the Żywiec Landscape Park within the Beskids mountain range. The brand was established in 1992 following the democratic transition in Poland, leveraging the natural spring water resources of the region to provide high-quality still and sparkling beverages to consumers.

In 2001, the brand was acquired by the French multinational food-products corporation Danone. Since then, it has grown to become the market leader in the bottled water category in Poland. While the brand is deeply rooted in Polish heritage and focuses its manufacturing primarily within Poland to ensure the freshness and purity of its mountain spring sources, it is ultimately owned and managed by Danone, headquartered in Paris, France.
