Baci Perugina is an iconic Italian chocolate brand rooted in the city of Perugia, where it was founded in 1922 by Luisa Spagnoli. Famous for its hazelnut-topped chocolates and the sentimental 'love notes' tucked inside each wrapper, the product remains a symbol of Italian confectionery craftsmanship.
Today, Baci is manufactured primarily in the San Sisto factory in Italy to maintain its authentic heritage. While it began as an independent brand under the Perugina company, it was acquired by the Swiss multinational Nestlé in 1988. Nestlé continues to own and manage the brand globally, integrating it into its premium confectionery portfolio while preserving its traditional Italian identity.
