Wiberg was founded in 1947 by Wilhelm Berger in Austria, initially focusing on spice blends for butchers. Over decades, it became a leading brand in the professional gastronomy and food service industry. In 2016, the Frutarom Group acquired Wiberg, which was subsequently acquired by the American flavors and food ingredients giant International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) in 2018. Despite the corporate changes, the production remains deeply rooted in Salzburg, Austria, serving both professional chefs and retail consumers.
