CCM (originally Canada Cycle & Motor Co. Ltd.) is a legendary sporting goods brand with deep roots in hockey history. Founded in 1899 in Weston, Ontario, Canada, it initially specialized in bicycles but eventually shifted its focus to high-performance hockey skates and protective gear. Today, CCM is one of the world's leading hockey equipment manufacturers.

While the brand's design and research headquarters remain in Montreal, Canada, manufacturing is distributed globally. High-end products and custom skates are often produced in Canada, while other mass-market protective gear and sticks are manufactured across various locations, including China, Thailand, and Vietnam. This global production model ensures that the brand remains competitive across all price points.

Ownership of CCM has changed hands several times over the decades. In 2017, Adidas sold CCM to Birch Hill Equity Partners, a Canadian private equity firm. Most recently, in 2024, it was announced that CCM would be acquired by Birch Hill’s successor in managing the brand, maintaining its status as a Canadian-owned and operated global entity, ensuring its heritage remains closely tied to the sport's birthplace.
