Kettle Chips is a premium snack brand that has become a household name in the United Kingdom. Although the brand first originated in Oregon, United States, in 1978 as N.S. Khalsa Company, it expanded to the UK in 1988, establishing a dedicated production facility in Norfolk. The product shown—Sweet Chilli & Sour Cream—is specifically part of the UK product range, manufactured using locally sourced potatoes at their Bowthorpe plant.
Starting from a small-scale entrepreneurship, the brand underwent several ownership changes, being acquired by Diamond Foods in 2010 and subsequently by Snyder's-Lance in 2016. In 2018, the global conglomerate Campbell Soup Company acquired Snyder's-Lance, bringing Kettle Chips under its vast corporate umbrella. For the European and UK markets, the brand's operations are overseen by Valeo Foods, which acquired the European Kettle Foods division from Campbell Soup Company in 2019, while Campbell retains ownership in North America.
