Yoki Amendoim Japonês is a popular Brazilian snack consisting of crunchy, soy-sauce coated peanuts. The brand Yoki was founded in 1960 by Yoshizo Kitano in São Paulo, Brazil. It began as a family business named Kitano, which later evolved into the Yoki brand in 1990, focusing on providing high-quality, convenient food products to Brazilian households.
Manufacturing for Yoki products remains centered in Brazil, with numerous production facilities across the country to maintain its status as a staple in the local market. In 2012, the American multinational General Mills acquired Yoki Alimentos for approximately $850 million. General Mills continues to manage the brand, integrating Yoki's extensive distribution network and diverse product line—which includes popcorn, grains, and flour—into its global portfolio while maintaining the brand's Brazilian heritage.
