Marlboro is one of the most recognizable tobacco brands in the world. Originally launched in the United States in the early 20th century by Philip Morris, it was initially marketed as a women's cigarette before being rebranded as a rugged masculine product in the 1950s. The 'Touch' line is a more modern variation designed to offer a different smoking experience compared to the classic Red or Gold varieties.

Ownership of the brand is split globally. In the United States, Marlboro is owned and manufactured by Philip Morris USA, a subsidiary of Altria Group. For all markets outside of the United States, including Turkey (where the specific packaging in the image originates), the brand is owned and operated by Philip Morris International (PMI). Since its spin-off from Altria in 2008, PMI has operated independently as the world's leading international tobacco company.

The packaging shown features Turkish health warnings, indicating it was produced for the Turkish market. Philip Morris International maintains significant manufacturing facilities in Torbalı, İzmir, Turkey, through its subsidiary Philip Morris SABANCI (Philsa).
