Hațegana is a historic Romanian beer brand with roots in the Hațeg region of Hunedoara County. Established in the 1970s with the construction of the brewery in Hațeg, the brand quickly became a regional favorite, known for its traditional pale lager (Bere Blondă) recipe.
Following the privatization era in Romania, the brand was acquired by the Dutch brewing giant Heineken. While many regional breweries faced closure during market consolidation, the Hațegana brand has survived as a value-segment offering within Heineken's extensive Romanian portfolio. Today, the beer is primarily produced at Heineken Romania's modern facilities, such as the brewery in Craiova, maintaining its regional identity while benefiting from international quality standards and distribution networks.
