Velvet is a prominent hygiene brand originally established in Poland. It was launched in 1997 by the American multi-national Kimberly-Clark to introduce high-quality tissue products to the Polish market. The brand's primary manufacturing facility is located in Klucze, Poland, which has been a center for paper production for over a century.

Today, Velvet is the flagship brand of Velvet CARE, which was formed following a management buyout from Kimberly-Clark in 2013. The company has since grown into a leading tissue paper manufacturer in Central and Eastern Europe. Since 2023, the ultimate owner of the brand is Partners Group, a global private equity firm headquartered in Switzerland, which acquired the company to further its international expansion and sustainability goals.
