Krokos Kozanis Greek Red Saffron

Krokos Kozanis is a premium variety of Greek red saffron in filaments, highly regarded for its distinctive aroma and vibrant color. This product is produced under the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status, ensuring that it is grown and processed exclusively in the Kozani region of Western Macedonia, Greece.

The cultivation and collection of the flowers occur manually, following traditions that date back centuries. The brand and the production process are managed by the Cooperative of Saffron Producers of Kozani, which consists of approximately 1,000 member-farmers. This cooperative serves as the ultimate owner, ensuring the quality and authenticity of the saffron before it is exported worldwide.
