Glengoyne Balbaina Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Glengoyne Balbaina is a premium Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky, specifically part of the brand's 'Spirit of Oak' travel retail collection. It is distilled at the Glengoyne Distillery, which is uniquely situated at Dumgoyne on the Highland Line, just north of Glasgow. While the stills are in the Highlands, the warehouse across the road is technically in the Lowlands. The Balbaina expression is noted for its maturation in first-fill European oak Sherry casks.

The Glengoyne Distillery was founded in 1833 by George Connell. Since 2003, the brand has been owned by Ian Macleod Distillers, an independent family-owned company. Glengoyne is famous for its exceptionally slow distillation process and its commitment to unpeated malt, allowing the natural flavours of the wood and spirit to shine through.
