AQUA Carpatica is a premium mineral water brand sourced from the pristine Carpathian Mountains in Romania. The brand specifically draws its water from the Bajenaru and Paltinis springs, known for their unique mineral composition, including naturally nitrate-free still water and naturally sparkling mineral water. Since its launch, it has positioned itself as a global health-conscious brand emphasizing purity and environmental stewardship.

The brand was founded in 2010 by Swiss-Greek businessman Jean Valvis through his company, Carpathian Springs SA. Following a decade of rapid international growth and numerous awards for quality and design, the brand entered a significant strategic partnership in 2022. PepsiCo acquired a 20% equity stake in the brand along with the rights to distribute the water in Romania, Poland, and later the United States and other international markets, though the Valvis Holding Group remains the majority owner and operator.
