JOOLA is a historic German table tennis brand founded in the 1950s. It originated from the department store Jooss in Landau, which began manufacturing table tennis tables in 1952. Over decades, it became one of the most recognizable names in the sport, sponsoring Olympic games and world championships.

Today, while the brand's heritage is deeply rooted in Germany, the company underwent a major ownership change in 2019 when it was acquired by its long-term North American partner. Manufacturing is now distributed globally across multiple countries to serve international markets, though much of its high-end professional equipment maintains strict quality controls associated with its competitive history.
