Amstel Premium beer

Amstel beer traces its origin back to 1870 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, named after the Amstel River which provided ice for cooling the brewery. Originally founded as the Amstel Brewery (Amstel Brouwerij), the brand became famous for its pilsner brewing techniques. In 1968, Amstel was acquired by its larger rival, Heineken, which remains the ultimate owner today.

Today, Amstel is a global brand produced in various Heineken-owned facilities worldwide, including the Netherlands, Greece, Spain, and several locations across Africa and the Americas. The brand is positioned as a premium pilsner and continues to be managed as one of the core international brands within the Heineken N.V. portfolio.
