Historically owned by Cacique (Companhia Cacique de Café Solúvel), the brand underwent a significant ownership change in 2017 when its parent company's instant coffee operations were acquired by JDE Peet's. Today, Café Pelé is a key part of the JDE Peet's portfolio, managed by a global leader in tea and coffee headquartered in the Netherlands, while maintaining its iconic Brazilian identity.
