Horalky is one of the most iconic confectionery products in Central Europe, particularly in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The product is a peanut-filled wafer bar perimeter-dipped in cocoa coating. It was originally launched in 1953 and has since become a staple snack in the region.
The product is manufactured by Sedita, which is the production brand of I.D.C. Holding, a.s. The manufacturing primarily takes place at the specialized facility in Sereď, Slovakia. The brand represents a deep-rooted tradition of Slovak chocolate and wafer making, maintaining its recipe and popularity for over seven decades.
While I.D.C. Holding was a Slovak-owned entity for most of its modern history, in 2024, it was announced that the Irish-based multinational Valeo Foods Group reached an agreement to acquire the company. This acquisition integrates the iconic Slovak brand into a global portfolio of food products, though production remains focused in its original home market.
