HERE WeGo maps

HERE WeGo is a prominent navigation and mapping service developed by HERE Technologies. Originally known as Ovi Maps and later Nokia Maps, the brand has its roots in Finland, where it was developed by Nokia as a core mobile service. The platform evolved through several iterations before becoming an independent entity under the HERE brand.

In 2015, Nokia sold HERE to a consortium of German automotive companies, including BMW Group, Mercedes-Benz AG, and Audi AG. Since then, the ownership structure has expanded to include diverse investors such as Intel, Bosch, and Mitsubishi. The company is currently headquartered in the Netherlands and operates as a shared technology platform for mapping and location services used across various industries, particularly the automotive sector.

Because HERE WeGo is a digital product, it is developed across multiple countries, including major engineering hubs in Germany, the United States, and India.
