The JBL GO2 is a popular waterproof portable Bluetooth speaker. The brand JBL was originally founded in the United States in 1946 by James Bullough Lansing. Over decades of industrial evolution, JBL became a cornerstone of Harman International Industries.
In 2017, Samsung Electronics acquired Harman International, making Samsung the ultimate owner of the brand. While the engineering and design are rooted in American and international legacy, the manufacturing of the GO2 model is primarily based in Vietnam or China to optimize global logistics. Currently, the brand operates as a subsidiary of Samsung, maintaining its headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, USA, under the Harman umbrella.
