Horezu ceramics are a unique type of traditional Romanian pottery, produced by hand in the town of Horezu, Valcea County. This craft is recognized globally and was included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2012. The pottery is characterized by its specific motifs, such as the famous Horezu rooster, tree of life, and spiral patterns, often using a palette of earthy tones like brown, red, green, and blue.

These pieces are typically created by local artisans who use traditional tools like a hollowed-out bull horn for fine line work and a wire-tipped stick for the 'jirăvirea' technique, which creates the swirling patterns. Because it is a protected traditional craft, there is no single 'brand' or corporation that owns it; rather, it is maintained by individual families and workshops of master potters who have passed down the techniques through generations in the Oltenia region.
