Bucovina is one of the most recognized mineral water brands in Romania, sourced from the underground aquifers of the Carpathian Mountains, specifically from the protected Vatra Dornei area in the Suceava county. The brand's identity is deeply rooted in the purity and natural balance of its Romanian source, marketing itself as a 'balanced thirst' solution due to its low mineral content and pH levels.

Historically, the brand was developed by local entrepreneurs under the company Rio Bucovina. In 2015, the brand underwent a significant ownership change when the Polish food and beverage giant Maspex acquired Rio Bucovina. This acquisition integrated the Romanian mineral water brand into one of the largest consumer goods corporate portfolios in Central and Eastern Europe.

Today, Bucovina continues to be bottled at its source in Romania, ensuring the preservation of its natural qualities. It is managed by Maspex Romania, a subsidiary of the Maspex Group headquartered in Wadowice, Poland. The company has invested significantly in modernizing the production lines and expanding the brand's presence across the Romanian market and beyond.
