Neutrogena is a world-renowned brand specializing in dermatologist-recommended skincare. Its history began in 1930 when Emanuel Stolaroff founded a small specialty cosmetic company called Natone. The brand's pivotal moment came in 1954 when Stolaroff discovered a unique soap from Belgium that was exceptionally gentle on the skin, which he marketed as Neutrogena. This success led to the company officially changing its name to Neutrogena in 1962.
In 1994, the brand was acquired by Johnson & Johnson, which significantly expanded its global reach and R&D capabilities. In 2023, following a significant corporate restructuring, Neutrogena became part of Kenvue, an independent consumer health company spun off from Johnson & Johnson. Today, Neutrogena products—ranging from sun protection and acne treatments to anti-aging creams—are manufactured in multiple locations globally including the United States, Greece, and various Asian countries to meet international demand.
