HEREWEGO, formerly known as HERE Maps or Nokia Maps, is a global mapping and navigation software solution. Originally rooted in the mapping technology developed by the Finnish telecommunications giant Nokia, it evolved through the acquisition of NAVTEQ, a major American provider of digital map data. Today, it serves as a critical infrastructure for automotive systems, mobile devices, and enterprise logistics across the globe.

The service is currently owned by a consortium of major automotive companies and technology investors. This alliance, known as HERE Technologies, includes prominent stakeholders such as Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz (Daimler), along with investments from Intel, Microsoft, and Bosch. This ownership structure ensures that the platform remains an independent, open mapping provider designed to compete with other major navigation services while powering the next generation of autonomous driving.
