Fürstenberg is a traditional German brewery with roots dating back to 1283, when Count Heinrich I von Fürstenberg was granted the right to brew in Donaueschingen. The brand is deeply tied to the Black Forest region of Germany, where its historic brewery is located. Known for its 'Bierkultur' (beer culture), it focuses on classic German pilsners and regional specialties.
While the brewery maintains its strong regional identity and historical site in Donaueschingen, ownership has transitioned into the corporate sector. Since 2005, Fürstenberg has been part of the Paulaner Brauerei Gruppe, which ensures the brand's distribution across Germany and international markets. The Paulaner Brauerei Gruppe itself is a joint venture, with the Schörghuber Corporate Group holding the majority stake, maintaining the brewery's German heritage and management while operating under a larger corporate umbrella.
