Shokz is a prominent electronics brand specializing in open-ear audio technology. Originally established in 2004 in Shenzhen, China, by alumni of Xi'an Jiaotong University—Chen Hao, Chen Qian, and Qi Xin—the company initially operated as an OEM manufacturer for professional communication headsets.

In 2011, the brand as it is known today was officially launched under the name 'AfterShokz' in the United States to bring bone conduction and open-ear technology to the consumer market. It underwent a global rebranding to 'Shokz' in 2021. While the company maintains regional headquarters in Austin, Texas, to manage global operations and marketing, the core engineering, research, and manufacturing activities are centered in Shenzhen, China. The OpenFit series represents the brand's expansion into air-conduction open-ear earbuds, continuing their focus on situational awareness for athletes and outdoor enthusiasts.
