Kockens Grillkrydda Original

Kockens is a storied Swedish brand with a history dating back to 1916. Originally founded as a small business by Fritz Kock in Trelleborg, it has grown to become one of the most recognizable names in the Swedish spice market. The 'Grillkrydda' (Grill Seasoning) is one of their most iconic products, favored for its traditional blend of salt, paprika, and onions.

While the raw ingredients for spices are sourced globally, the production and blending processes for the Kockens brand primarily take place in Sweden. Today, the brand is part of the Kockens AB portfolio, which is owned by the Swedish food group Culinar. Culinar itself is a subsidiary of Sveriges Stärkelseproducenter (Lyckeby), a farmer-owned cooperative based in Fjälkinge, Skåne, ensuring that the brand remains under Swedish ownership.
