Heinz Beanz is a cultural staple and one of the most recognized food products globally. Originally launched in the United Kingdom in 1901 by the American entrepreneur Henry J. Heinz, the product revolutionized the way shelf-stable proteins were consumed. While the brand has American roots, Heinz Beanz are fundamentally associated with British culinary identity.
The majority of Heinz Beanz sold in the UK and European markets are manufactured at the Kitt Green factory in Wigan, England. This facility is the largest food processing plant in Europe and produces millions of cans every day to meet consumer demand.
Today, the brand is owned by the Kraft Heinz Company, which was formed through the 2015 merger of Kraft Foods and H.J. Heinz. As a multinational food giant, Kraft Heinz manages a vast portfolio of pantry staples. Despite its global corporate structure headquartered in the United States, the production and marketing for the iconic teal-labeled beans remain heavily localized within the markets they serve.
