Hobgoblin Session IPA is a prominent line of beer under the Hobgoblin brand, which is known for its distinct character and folklore-inspired imagery. The beer is brewed within the United Kingdom, specifically associated with the Wychwood Brewery in Witney, Oxfordshire. It is marketed as a lighter, more sessionable version of traditional IPAs while maintaining the robust hop profile the brand is known for.

The brand was originally established by the Wychwood Brewery in 1983. In 2002, the brewery was acquired by Marston's PLC, a major player in the British brewing and pub industry. In a significant industry shift in 2020, Marston's formed a joint venture with Carlsberg UK, known as the Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company (CMBC). As of late 2024, Carlsberg Group has moved to acquire full ownership of the CMBC venture, making the Danish multinational the ultimate owner of the Hobgoblin brand. This transition ensures that while the beer retains its British heritage and local production sites, its corporate stewardship is part of a global brewing network.
