Diprolene is a dermatological pharmaceutical product used for treating various inflammatory skin conditions. It was originally developed by Schering-Plough, an American pharmaceutical company that later merged with Merck & Co. (known as MSD outside the US and Canada).
In 2021, MSD spun off its women's health and legacy brands business into a new independent company called Organon. As part of this transition, brands like Diprolene were transferred to Organon. Today, Organon operates as a global healthcare company based in Jersey City, New Jersey. While Organon has its origins in the Netherlands (specifically Oss), the current ultimate owner is the American-listed entity Organon & Co. Manufacturing for these legacy products often continues in established European facilities, particularly in Belgium and the Netherlands.
