Brand Brewery Beer

Brand is one of the oldest breweries in the Netherlands, with roots dating back to 1340 in Wijlre, Limburg. It is famously known as 'Neerlandsch Oudste Bierbrouwerij' (The Netherlands' Oldest Brewery). While its history spans centuries, the brewery modernised significantly under the leadership of the Brand family in the 19th and 20th centuries.

In 1989, the Brand Brewery was acquired by Heineken N.V., a Dutch multinational brewing giant. Despite the acquisition, the brand maintains its distinct identity and specialty beer status. Currently, much of the production remains centered in the Netherlands, though the company continues to evolve its brewing sites to meet modern sustainability and logistical standards. Heineken N.V., headquartered in Amsterdam, remains the ultimate owner.
