Nestlé breakfast cereals, known in various markets as 'Granen', represent one of the world's most recognizable breakfast food categories. The brand's cereal history is deeply rooted in Switzerland, where Henri Nestlé's initial innovations in infant food eventually paved the way for a massive global expansion into adult and children's cereals.
Today, the production of these cereals is predominantly managed through Cereal Partners Worldwide (CPW), a powerful joint venture formed in 1990 between Nestlé and General Mills. While the brand is Swiss in origin, manufacturing is decentralized with large-scale production facilities located across France, Poland, the United Kingdom, and various South American and Asian hubs to serve local markets efficiently.
As of the mid-2020s, the brand remains under the ultimate ownership of Nestlé S.A., the world's largest food and beverage conglomerate. The company continues to evolve by Reformulating products to meet modern nutritional standards while maintaining global market leadership alongside their American partners.
