San Miguel Pale Pilsen is a flagship lager brand with a unique and complex history. It was originally established in 1890 in Manila, Philippines, under the company La Fabrica de Cerveza San Miguel. Over a century later, the brand is globally recognized for its golden color and rich hop profile.

The brand's ownership is split regionally. In the Philippines and much of Southeast Asia, it is owned and produced by San Miguel Brewery Inc., a subsidiary of the San Miguel Corporation. However, in Europe, the brand was licensed and eventually sold to Mahou in Spain (forming Mahou San Miguel). While the Filipino and Spanish versions share a name and historical lineage, they operate as distinct commercial entities today. Production occurs in various breweries across the Philippines, Spain, and through licensed partners globally.
