This image features two iconic Nordic confectionery products: Marabou Japp and Cloetta Guld Nougat.
Japp, recognizable by its red and black wrapper, is a caramel and cocoa meringue-filled chocolate bar. It was first launched in Sweden in 1947 by Marabou, a brand that was originally founded by the Norwegian chocolatier Johan Throne Holst. Marabou is currently owned by Mondelēz International, a major American multinational, with Japp production primarily taking place in Upplands Väsby, Sweden.
Guld Nougat is a soft praline/nougat bar characterized by its distinctive gold wrapper and historical '1913' branding. It was created by Cloetta, a brand founded in 1862 by three Swiss brothers in Copenhagen before expanding to Sweden. Today, Cloetta AB is a publicly traded Swedish company that remains the ultimate owner, with manufacturing primarily located in Ljungsbro, Sweden.
