Duchesse de Bourgogne is a world-renowned Flanders Red Ale, a style of beer characterized by its deep reddish-brown color and a complex, wine-like sour flavor profile. The beer is brewed by Brouwerij Verhaeghe Vichte, a family-owned brewery located in Vichte, West Flanders, Belgium.

This specific ale is unique because it is a blend of younger and older beers that have been matured in oak casks (foeders). The aging process in oak allows the resident microflora to give the beer its characteristic lactic acidity. The label features Mary of Burgundy, the Duchess after whom the beer is named, emphasizing its historical roots in the region.
