Sinalco is one of Europe's oldest soft drink brands, established in 1902 in Detmold, Germany. Originally named 'Bilz-Brause,' it was rebranded to Sinalco (from the Latin 'sine alcohole' - without alcohol) in 1905. The brand is famous for its iconic red dot logo and fluted bottle shape.
While the brand underwent various ownership changes through the 20th century, it was acquired by the Hövelmann family (owners of the Hövelmann Beverage Group) in 1994. Today, Sinalco International GmbH manages the brand's global presence, licensing production to local bottling partners in over 40 countries, though its heart and core manufacturing remain centered in Germany.
