Wm. Rogers is one of the most famous names in American silver manufacturing history, dating back to the mid-19th century in Hartford, Connecticut. Founded by William Rogers and his brothers, the brand gained international fame for its high-quality silver plating techniques. The hallmark visible on the handle is a signature characteristic of their production lines which were deeply ingrained in American household culture for over a century.

Over the decades, the Wm. Rogers name was integrated into the International Silver Company, a massive conglomerate formed in 1898 that consolidated many of the largest silver makers in the U.S. Today, the brand rights are part of the Oneida portfolio. Oneida Limited is one of the world's largest designers and sellers of stainless steel and silverplated cutlery and tableware. While historic pieces like the one pictured were manufactured in the United States, modern production under the brand umbrella may take place in various global facilities.
