Hortex is one of the most recognized and iconic Polish food brands, with a history spanning several decades. Originally established as a state cooperative in 1958, the company specialized in the production of frozen foods and high-quality fruit juices. It played a significant role in the Polish economy by exporting high-standard agricultural products to Western markets during the latter half of the 20th century.
The manufacturing process for Hortex juices remains deeply rooted in Poland, utilizing fruits sourced from local farmers and processing them in modern facilities located within the country. This local production ensures freshness and maintains the brand's long-standing reputation for quality in Central and Eastern Europe.
Following a series of ownership changes post-privatization, the brand is currently owned by the investment firm Argan Capital. Despite the change in capital ownership, Hortex Sp. z o.o. continues to operate as a leading entity in Warsaw, maintaining its heritage as a quintessential Polish fruit and vegetable processor. The brand remains a market leader in Poland and continues to be a household name for beverages and frozen goods.
