In the United Kingdom, the brand became a household staple and was produced by the Shredded Wheat Company, which was later acquired by Nabisco.

Today, the Shredded Wheat brand in the UK and Ireland is managed under Cereal Partners Worldwide (CPW), a long-standing joint venture between Nestlé and General Mills established in 1990.
