Vega is a pioneer in the plant-based nutrition industry, founded with the mission to provide high-quality vegan supplements that are good for both people and the planet. The brand quickly became a leader in the protein powder market by combining pea protein with various greens and vitamins, appealing to athletes and health-conscious consumers alike.

While the brand maintains its Canadian roots, it has seen significant changes in corporate ownership over the last decade. In 2015, it was acquired by WhiteWave Foods, which was subsequently purchased by the French multinational Danone in 2017. However, in 2021, Danone sold the Vega brand to the private equity firm WM Partners to focus on its core diary and plant-based yogurt categories. Today, Vega operates under the WM Partners portfolio, continuing its focus on plant-centric nutritional products.
